Chat & web search
Ask anything. Yoshi searches the web and X for current facts and lists sources as tappable chips under the answer.
Try: “What's the weather pattern for NYC this week? Show sources.”
Article-style answers
Longer answers come back laid out like a short article, with headings, lists and tables.
Try: “Explain how HTTPS works, step by step.”
Deep research & Think harder
Ask for a deeper look or harder thinking and Yoshi does more research or reasoning before answering.
Try: “Do deep research on the best budget e-bikes this year.”
Reads long pages and PDFs
Yoshi reads long web pages and PDFs all the way through, jumping to the section you name.
Try: “Read section 4.2 of this PDF link and summarize it.”
Real pictures & trailers
Shows real posters and photos, plus tap-to-play YouTube trailer cards.
Try: “Show me the poster and trailer for Spirited Away.”
Make pictures
Creates 4 variations by default (up to 8) in a grid. Tap to view, Download, Edit or Animate.
Try: “Draw an Akita puppy in the snow, watercolor style.”
Edit pictures with version history
Edit a picture you made; every version is kept on this phone so you can go back.
Try: “Make the background a sunset.”
Videos & photo-to-video
Makes a short clip, or animates a photo. Pick quality (480p/720p), length (1–15 s) and sound on/off. Longer stories in scenes too.
Try: “Animate this photo: the dog wags its tail.”
Attachments
Attach photos (camera or gallery), PDFs, text, code, CSV, Word, Excel and PowerPoint files.
Try: “What's in this document?” (with a file attached)
Word, PDF & Excel files
Ask for a document and get a file card; Download makes a real .docx, .pdf or .xlsx. You can also turn a chat into a PDF.
Try: “Put this conversation into a PDF.”
Convert & merge files
Converts attached files to PDF, Word, Excel, CSV or PNG, or merges them into one PDF.
Try: “Merge these photos into one PDF.”
Query spreadsheets with SQL
Attach a .csv or .xlsx and Yoshi opens a SQL editor on its tables, ready to filter, total and join.
Try: “Total sales by month from this sheet.”
Saved items & memory
Yoshi saves things when you ask and remembers lasting preferences across chats.
Try: “Save this recipe.” / “Remember my dog's name is Yoshi.”
Google Drive sync
Connect Drive in Settings and saved items sync to a ChatYoshi folder in your Drive.
Try: Settings → Google Drive → Connect
Code samples with answer badges
Short examples show each result as a badge (green true, red false) right next to the line.
Try: “Show the Java String == trap.”
Run code
Run on any sample. Fragments become a full program you can see (Java gets class Main and main(), results printed). Desktop: code left, result right, drag the divider; phone: stacked. Expand shows only the result. Tap Run on the card again to close.
Try: “Show a Python example of list slicing.” then tap Run
Languages Run supports
HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, SQL, Java, C#, C++, VBScript and x86 assembly.
Try: “Write a C# example of LINQ and let me run it.”
Code editor with autocomplete
Edit (and the Run window) use a real editor: colors, line numbers, autocomplete. Yoshi sees your code and errors, suggests a fix first, and changes it only when you say yes.
Try: “Why does line 5 fail?”
Copy & Edit on code
Every code card has Copy, plus Run and Edit for supported languages.
Try: Tap Copy on any code card
Edit and resend
Tap the pencil on your message to change it and send it again.
Try: Tap ✏️ on your last question
Delete with Undo
Tap the trash icon to delete a message; Undo for 5 seconds. Or ask Yoshi to delete parts of the chat.
Try: “Delete everything after my Java question.”
Dictate & read aloud
Dictate with the mic, and have answers read aloud. Pick the voice and pitch in Settings.
Try: Tap the mic and speak
Your settings
Choose the model, add extra style instructions, theme (Light/Dark/Match device), text size, and see usage.
Try: Settings → Yoshi → Extra instructions
Phone storage & Clear all cache
Pictures, videos and versions are kept only on this phone (the server keeps none). Clear all cache removes them and saved video settings; chats, login and gallery downloads stay.
Try: Settings → Clear all cache
Select to quote
Highlight any part of a chat message and tap Add to chat (or press Ctrl+L on a computer). The text shows as a quote above the message box (remove it with ×), and Yoshi answers about just that part.
Try: select a sentence in Yoshi's reply → Add to chat → "explain this simpler"
Java graphics (Swing)
Java programs that open a JFrame now show a live window in the Run pane: drawing in paintComponent (shapes, colors, fonts, gradients), animation with javax.swing.Timer, mouse and keyboard events, BufferedImage, and simple JButton/JLabel layouts. On a phone the window shrinks to fit. Classes not covered yet show a friendly message.
Try: "make a Java bouncing ball with Swing and run it"
C# graphics (WinForms)
C# programs that open a Form show a live window in the Run pane: drawing in the Paint event (shapes, colors, fonts, gradients), animation with a Timer, mouse and keyboard events, and simple Button/Label controls. MessageBox.Show pops up a message. Classes not covered yet show a friendly message.
Try: "make a C# WinForms bouncing ball and run it"
VBScript drawing
VBScript can draw with ChatYoshi's built-in Canvas object: Canvas.Line, Rect, Circle, Ellipse, Polygon, Text, colors (names or RGB), pen width and fonts. Redraw with WScript.Sleep between frames for a simple animation. MsgBox shows a message box.
Try: "draw a house in VBScript and run it"
